Also from the Crosbie's single vineyard in the Waitaki, the perfect complement to our estate-grown Audrey's gris. An elegant pinot gris of minerality, delicate aromatics and some acid balanced by a higher residual sugar.  A classic of the variety, in the style that New Zealand is becoming renown for - off dry with palate weight and texture.

Winemaker Jeff's Comments: This wine has a brilliant pale straw colour with an attractive green hue. The nose shows lovely ripe pinot gris fruit characters of pear , yellow apple and spice. The palate is suitably medium bodied with moderate alcohol. Rich pear and quince like fruit characters give way to a more complex minerality, soft acidity and suble yeast lees influence that gives an almost lanolin-like creaminess to the finish. This vineyard has proven ability to produce wines that age well.
