Winemaker Jeff's Tasting Notes: "The wine shows remarkable consistency of vineyard character to the previous vintage. Pale green in colour with lovely floral aromatics, lime/citrus like fruit and the same salty tang we saw last year. The palate has been made ever so slightly sweeter than last year as we have such lovely juicy acidity to balance against. The minerality is still there, a suggestion of salinity too (similar to the sensation of soda water) as the palate possesses real presence in the mouth. We expect this wine to drink well over the summer months, especially with delicate seafood like the wonderful west coast whitebait we have been enjoying this spring. As it matures in bottle expect the floral notes to diminish a little and the mineral characters to rise to the fore".
The Grower Selection Working with selected fastidious growers we buy fruit for a series of wines, which while not grown in our own vineyards produces wines of similar quality.
