Wonderfully fruited and complex, the bouquet shows apricot, poached pear, hint of honey and fragrant spice aromas, leading to a supple palate delivering excellent concentration and length. It's flavoursome and richly texture, offering splendid drinking. At its best: now to 2026.

Fabulous bouquet with complexity, minerality, personality and style. Flavours on the palate of fresh Asian pears and apple, quince and soft white pepper spice. The core is mineral first then fruit with a chalk and stony soil quality. Satin texture, medium+ acidity, fine lengthy finish and ready. Drink now and through 2025+.

Bight, pale straw-yellow with some depth, faintly lighter edged. The nose is opulent and generous, aromas of crunchy Nashi pear, apple blossom entwined with ripe stonefruit, five-spice and mead with a toasty undertone. Medium-full bodied, dry to taste, very elegantly presented, nuances of Nashi pear's crunchiness leading the palate, intermix stonefruit, guava, unfolding apple blossom, citrus zest, lots of five-spice and a hint of honey. The wine is textural, displaying fine chalky mineral and a smooth, oily mouthfeel. The purity of fruit is the main feature, concentrated in flavour yet clean and precise with refreshing acid. This is a classy Pinot Gris with elegant structure, intensity and a refreshing, textural palate. Match with whitebait and bacon-wrapped scallops over the next 5+ years. Fruit is from Clos Ostler vineyard, partially barrel-fermented and aged on lees.
